History of LTM Water

LTM Water was founded in 1980 by Gerald Guse. L.T.M. stands for Jerry's three children Laurie, Tom, and Mark all of whom now work for the company. Laurie and Tom are in sales, Mark in service. Jerry started in the water treatment business on January 2nd 1971. While being the sales manager at Rainsoft, Inc. Jerry had the opportunity soon after to buy interest in a Kinetico franchise. He liked the opportunity of being able to give the consumer's something unique in a water softener. That softener was Kinetico. A non-electric, totally demand water softener that was also low on salt usage and water usage. Jerry started his dealership in October of 1980 at the present location of 8418 N. Second St. in Machesney Park, IL.. Since then Jerry has acquired Walcott Water located in Janesville, WI., in the spring of 2000. Since its inception, LTM Water has been a Top 20 dealer for Kinetico every year. This is a remarkable feat considering Kinetico has over 500 dealers worldwide. Walcott/LTM Water now employs 20 full-time professionals and covers a territory consisting of southern Wisconsin as well as counties in northwest Illinois. The organization has over 130 years of combined experience in handling the most difficult water problems that exist today.
